back in feb i went to gabon to photograph a story about threats to the ancient forests there. we spent about 10 days hiking through the jungle in ivindo and luango parks. there was rain, giant bogs, some slipping, sliding and falling down. elephants and some swarms of biting ants.
from the hut we stayed in in ivindo, the only thing we could hear was the crashing of the falls and the birds chirping – a chirp that for the first full day i kept mistaking for a ringing phone.
